That lil' girl is Annika. And that's why she hates men.
Her father was very despotic man. He terrorized his own family and treated his wife as personal slave. Annika's mother accepted this, for her own children fate, she let her husband to beat her and treat her like a shit. She thought that suffering in silence will be better. Other people thought that this family is perfect, with beautiful kids and good husband and father... but the truth was other.

Annika couldn't understand, why her mother didn't leave her father. She hates her mother for accepting the pain and letting be treated like a shit to save pretends of perfect family. She never accepted what her father was doing, and when the Templars came for her, it was the happiest day of her life.
